To thrive in the challenging environment of Crimson Desert, it’s essential to collect Abyss Artifacts. These artifacts serve as the game’s skill points, allowing you to unlock abilities, enhance Kliff’s attributes, and also function as crucial materials for upgrading your equipment. While there are several ways to acquire these artifacts, one of the most reliable methods is by completing puzzles found within the Abyss.
One notable puzzle to tackle is the Disconnected Truth, characterized by a prominent diamond shape in the sky, which can be accessed after finishing some earlier Abyss islands. Below is a guide on how to successfully solve this puzzle and earn an Abyss Artifact for your efforts.
Disconnected Truth Puzzle Guide
Upon reaching the small island opposite the large diamond-shaped island, activate the Abyss Gate and head towards the platform’s edge. You’ll notice a fan blowing towards the island below. Leap off the platform and utilize your gliding skills over the fan to propel yourself into the small opening at the base of the primary structure.
Once inside the initial chamber, turn slightly to the right of the central podium. There, you will find a disconnected wire on the ground that requires fixing. Approach the yellow conduit integrated into the thick cable and interact with it to restore power to the island. Afterwards, stand on the podium to ascend to the next level of the puzzle.
Wait for the sides of the island to open up and locate a yellow circular switch amongst two inactive switches. Remember where this is for future reference, and go towards the illuminated switch. Employ Axiom Force on it to transfer power to the cable, then turn right to find a hole in the floor within a small alcove.
Before proceeding right when you drop down, glance to your left to discover a narrow space you can access by crouching. Inside, there’s a treasure chest containing a Faded Abyss Artifact and a valuable Insight Level 3 Abyss Gear. Any weapon equipped with this gear will yield a Critical Rate Level 3, making it one of the finest Abyss Gears available!
As you navigate the underground area, follow the path until your first right turn. Shortly after the turn, you’ll spot another disconnected conduit needing interaction to reroute power. After fixing it, follow the cables leading upwards and climb the stairs to exit the underground section.
At the top of the stairs, examine the large inverted triangle. On the right side, you’ll find a glowing blue Abyss Core. Jump onto the nearby platform, execute a double jump (pressing R3 while airborne), and glide close enough to grab the Abyss Core. Use Axiom Force while airborne to bring the core closer to the nearby walkways around the triangle.
Next, transport this Abyss Core to the large column with wheels on both sides. Place it in front of the slot and use Force Palm to push it into position. This will power up the center switch on the ground floor, which you can trigger using Axiom Force.
From the switches on the ground floor, glance to your left outside the alcove to locate another conduit on the ground; interact with it to reconnect both sides of the cables. After reconnecting, head back into the alcove and use Axiom Force to detach the square Abyss Core from the column. Lift this core up through the gap in the alcove roof and climb after it.
Above the spot where you retrieved this Abyss Core, another large machine will have a designated slot for it on the right. A spotlight will mark where it fits, making it easy to spot. Once you use Force Palm to insert the core, there’s yet another conduit in front of this machine that also requires fixing.
Completing this action will activate the final of the three switches. Trigger this switch with Axiom Force to enable the large central switch above the smaller ones you’ve previously activated. Ascend to the switch and use Force Palm to press it, thereby concluding the puzzle. You can now make your way up the inverted triangle platforms to reach the altar at the top, where the Abyss Artifact will appear.
