Overview
- Three new Funko Pops featuring Pokemon have been announced.
- The characters Ceruledge, Slowpoke, and Turtwig will be available as Pops for the first time.
- The figures are expected to hit the market later this week.
The Pokemon franchise is expanding its lineup of collectibles, offering fans more ways to express their love for their favorite characters. Since their partnership began in 2018, Funko has introduced a variety of Pokemon figures, and this week marks the debut of three characters who have never been transformed into Funko Pops before.
Initial images showcasing these upcoming figures were shared on social media, revealing that Slowpoke, Ceruledge, and Turtwig will soon join the Funko Pop lineup. Similar to previous releases, these figures are anticipated to become available for purchase starting Wednesday. There are no reports of these figures being exclusive to specific retailers, so they should be accessible wherever you typically buy your Funko products.
These figures appear to follow the traditional Funko Pop design, similar to recent releases featuring Dratini, Fidough, and Gardevoir. Each character is crafted in a standard size, capturing their unique traits while adapting them to the Funko aesthetic.
This might seem like a simple observation, but it’s important to mention since the Funko Pop rendering of Gengar faced some criticism from fans earlier this year.
Meet the New Pokemon!
Introducing Ceruledge, Slowpoke, and Turtwig!
The Ceruledge Pop features its signature blades posed menacingly, while Slowpoke’s figure captures the laid-back essence of this beloved Kanto Pokemon. Turtwig’s addition will delight collectors aiming to complete their sets of starter Pokemon, increasing the total to 12 out of the 27 core starter Pokemon as Turtwig joins the ranks alongside Sprigatito, Scorbunny, and other original Gen 1 starters.
In addition to the new Funko Pops being released, Pokemon has recently ventured into a new line of collectibles called Bitty Pops. These miniature figures come in packs of four and currently feature 16 different Pokemon from the original roster of 151. Each pack spotlights a different Kanto partner Pokemon, adding a fresh dimension to the collecting experience.
